CHROMATONE

Description

It is the first international system of color references produced and specific to be used in the carpet trade, using a format familiar to technicians of this type of industry and which can be described as a yarn pom. Cromatone has proven its validity over time and now allows you to manage an excellent number of colors of 2151 poms produced on 100% New Zealand wool and 300 poms on Viscose.

All colors have three characteristics: Hue (Color), Value (light / dark) and Chroma (saturation intensity). Chromatone assigns numerical values to these three properties in the 6-digit numerical system:

32 = Hue (color)

70 = Value (degree of light / dark)

50 = Chroma (color saturation intensity

This makes it possible for colors to be classified and communicated anywhere in the world quickly and effectively.

The poms are specially designed so that when used as a test standard, they fit into the small aperture of systems such as Minolta, giving a standard color density that produces LRV (light reflection values).

Using color measurement, the major textile dye manufacturers now fully cooperating with the Chromatone system provide a CRP (Imitation Recipe Calculation) service for customers around the world, thus eliminating most of the preliminary laboratory work.
