“Skin Model” instrument used to produce accurate and repeatable measurements of thermal resistance (Rct) and vapor permeability (Ret) of fabrics and leather.

It consists of an exuding thermal plate ("human skin model") complete with device for controlling the speed and turbulence of the air, as well as a special distribution system (by gravity) of the exuding liquid and sensors for the ambient temperature and for humidity.

The Climatic Chamber is characterized by a thermally insulated interior made of stainless steel and by an ergonomic layout and equipped with a high intensity LED light, a removable upper shelf for pre-conditioning of fabric samples and a large door insulated with glass, to allow internal observation.

For the perspiration tests, the SGHP exuding thermal plate uses the same water source as the Climatic Chamber and, thanks to the special porous absorption system, guarantees uniform humidification of the test surface.

The adjustable height of the exuding thermal plate (motorized) allows you to easily use samples of various thickness and the "ThermDAC" software, for checking and recording the data, makes the execution of the tests extremely simple.
