Fully automatic instrument, capable of carrying out large test volumes; specially designed to detect, measure, classify and evaluate the stickiness of cotton (commonly also called "Sugar" or "Sugar / Honeydew").

It is the only tool capable of providing information about the probability linked to the risk of stickiness of cotton, based on the respective degree, thus allowing the spinners to plan adequate actions (such as mixing different bales of cotton).

The stickiness of cotton is analyzed with a thermo-mechanical method that detects the sticky deposits (regardless of their nature) released by the veil of fibers on the heated cylinder and classifies them, according to their size, on a scale from 1 to 5.

A special software processes the "degree" of stickiness found and defined on the basis of the quantity detected and the relative overall dimension ascertained and provides both a count per gram of the sticky deposits and their dimensions, simulating the carding process as in a real and own spinning process.
